Hi, I’m Maen Artimy — an engineer, educator, and network design specialist with extensive experience in building and managing complex digital infrastructures.
Ad Hoc Node is my personal blog and creative lab — a space where I explore the theoretical and practical frontiers of internetworking, network automation, and digital design. It’s also where my two worlds intersect: the structured logic of network engineering and the boundless creativity of 3D modeling and visualization. My goal is to share knowledge, spark ideas, and contribute tools and resources that blend technical depth with creative expression.
In my professional life, I focus on the architecture, design, and management of advanced networks. The technical side of this blog offers original, in-depth articles on internetworking technologies, along with tutorials, configuration guides, and automation workflows using tools such as Python, Ansible, and FastAPI. My writing aims to make complex systems understandable and practical — bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world implementation.
On the creative side, I’m deeply engaged in 3D modeling and design. Using Blender and FreeCAD, I create abstract art, realistic environments, and detailed technical models for illustration, simulation, and training. Many of these digital assets are also adapted for 3D printing, transforming ideas into tangible, functional designs.
Here on Ad Hoc Node, you’ll find resources that reflect this unique fusion of engineering expertise and creative design:
- 3D Digital Assets: Technical, realistic, and abstract 3D models available for download or purchase.
- Technical Course Materials: Educational resources and lab content developed from my work as a university instructor and network professional.
- Video Content: Tutorials, deep dives, and project showcases featured on my YouTube channel.
- Mobile Applications: Practical tools and apps I’ve developed to support network professionals and student in everyday productivity.
Whether you’re here to explore network design and automation, learn technical concepts, or get inspired by creative digital design, I hope you’ll find something that resonates.
